For Sale - Emporio Armani 1980s Shearling Leather Bomber Jacket by Sicons. An exceptionally rare piece of early Emporio Armani outerwear, produced by specialist leather manufacturer Sicons and dating to the 1980s. Constructed from substantial brown shearling leather, the jacket features a beautifully aged outer surface with a dense tonal shearling interior that continues through the oversized collar and front opening. The cut is unmistakably of the period, with a broad, powerful shoulder line, generous sleeves and a slightly cropped bomber shape that gives the jacket a strong sculptural presence. Finished with a full front zip, large curved flap pockets, ribbed cuffs and hem, and subtle leather detailing throughout.

Pieces of this calibre from early Emporio Armani are increasingly difficult to find, particularly shearling jackets with this level of construction, condition and original character. The collaboration with Sicons makes it even more unusual, with very few comparable examples appearing on the vintage market today. A true collector-level Armani piece, combining the house’s 1980s proportions with specialist Italian leather craftsmanship.

WHY SHOP VINTAGE

EXCEPTIONAL VALUE

Many of the suits and tailoring we source originally retailed for thousands. Vintage gives you access to exceptional designer construction, fabrics and craftsmanship at a fraction of the original price.

QUALITY THAT’S HARD TO FIND TODAY

Older tailoring was often made to a higher standard, with better fabrics, more considered construction and greater attention to finishing. These are garments built before cost-cutting became the norm.

SUPERIOR FABRICS

From luxurious virgin wool and cashmere blends to substantial gabardines and fine worsteds, vintage tailoring often uses fabrics with a weight, texture and handle rarely found at comparable prices today.

THE DRAPE

Great tailoring isn’t meant to cling to the body. The weight and construction of vintage suits allow the fabric to fall naturally, creating cleaner lines, stronger silhouettes and an effortless drape.

A BETTER INVESTMENT

Well-chosen vintage designer tailoring tends to retain its value far better than newly purchased contemporary clothing. Buy intelligently, care for it properly, and a great suit can remain desirable for years.

ICONIC DESIGNERS, BETTER ERAS

Vintage gives you access to defining periods from houses such as Giorgio Armani, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent and Hugo Boss, often from eras when their tailoring established the visual language they’re still known for today.
