A refined fusion of technical innovation and minimalist design, the Arc’teryx Veilance Galvanic IS Coat represents the pinnacle of performance driven outerwear for the modern city. Finished here in the distinctive Boron colourway, this coat delivers a muted, contemporary tone that sits perfectly within Veilance’s understated aesthetic while remaining versatile for everyday wear.

Constructed from premium 3 layer GORE TEX with fully taped seams, the Galvanic IS offers complete waterproof and windproof protection without sacrificing breathability. The shell is engineered to be softer and quieter than traditional technical fabrics, allowing it to move naturally with the wearer while maintaining Veilance’s signature clean silhouette. Variable Coreloft insulation is strategically distributed throughout the coat, providing warmth where needed while preserving mobility and a streamlined profile. Thoughtful features include WaterTight zippered pockets, internal storage compartments, a removable stowable hood and precision engineered cuffs designed to seal out the elements. Made in Canada, every detail reflects Arc’teryx’s reputation for meticulous construction and technical excellence.

Arc’teryx itself was founded in North Vancouver in 1989 and quickly became known for producing some of the most advanced technical outerwear in the world, originally built for mountaineering and extreme alpine conditions. In 2009, the brand introduced Veilance as a specialised division that applied this same performance expertise to urban environments, creating minimalist garments engineered for daily city life rather than the mountains. Designed as a system of essential forms, Veilance focuses on climate control, mobility and understated design, merging high performance materials with a tailored, almost architectural approach to clothing.

The Galvanic IS Coat embodies this philosophy perfectly. It carries the DNA of Arc’teryx’s alpine heritage while translating it into a sleek, city ready form. In the Boron colourway, the piece feels both technical and refined, offering a timeless outer layer that performs effortlessly in cold, wet and unpredictable conditions while maintaining a sharp, modern presence.

WHY SHOP VINTAGE

EXCEPTIONAL VALUE

Many of the suits and tailoring we source originally retailed for thousands. Vintage gives you access to exceptional designer construction, fabrics and craftsmanship at a fraction of the original price.

QUALITY THAT’S HARD TO FIND TODAY

Older tailoring was often made to a higher standard, with better fabrics, more considered construction and greater attention to finishing. These are garments built before cost-cutting became the norm.

SUPERIOR FABRICS

From luxurious virgin wool and cashmere blends to substantial gabardines and fine worsteds, vintage tailoring often uses fabrics with a weight, texture and handle rarely found at comparable prices today.

THE DRAPE

Great tailoring isn’t meant to cling to the body. The weight and construction of vintage suits allow the fabric to fall naturally, creating cleaner lines, stronger silhouettes and an effortless drape.

A BETTER INVESTMENT

Well-chosen vintage designer tailoring tends to retain its value far better than newly purchased contemporary clothing. Buy intelligently, care for it properly, and a great suit can remain desirable for years.

ICONIC DESIGNERS, BETTER ERAS

Vintage gives you access to defining periods from houses such as Giorgio Armani, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent and Hugo Boss, often from eras when their tailoring established the visual language they’re still known for today.
